Eid

It was hectic but loved every single second of it. I specially loved dressing up and capturing all the meaning moments. This year is very special since this is the first time my 6 month plus daughter celebrated Raya. It felt the same when my son had his first Raya. I remember the first time I celebrated Raya, Malaysian style exactly seven years ago. It is such a beautiful experience when two cultures blend together and bring a new meaning to the whole affair.

way too long

It has been way too long for me to stay away from blogging. Just yesterday my sis-in-law created a blog to promote her cakes and cookies (and she is very good at it and you should have a look at her cakes. BTW, the blog is still work in progress so got to wait for a while). I am pretty much sure she will do well in the new found hobby as she is very passionate in decorating.

English 3 and english 4 exams are over and now is the time to mark 230 final exam answer sheets. Estimated time for completion I believe is 1 week.

The fasting month is doing good for my diet. I am still below my traget but slow and steady always wins the race. hahahahah, hmmm motivating oneself is always good!!!

out of track and get back on track

My diet has been controlling my life style for weeks and today I choose to eat nasi lamek. The sotong sambal was great. I eat until the last grain of rice and even had the urge to lick the wrapping. I can't imagine how much calorie I have put in. Should I regret or should tell myself that it is a treat for being such a good girl, (EHMMMM. lady).

Anyways what else is happening in my life. just the same old routine. As the saying goes, Same shit on different days. However, I am trying to reach to a place where small things will not effect me. There are bigger things I could do and change. Right now the most important thing for me is to look after my loved ones. If everyone could look after the people around them, the world wold not be such a horrible place.

What to do if I have a wish and to reach the the destination is so difficult. What should I do if I run out of energy and knew my efforts might one day be wasted? Should I continue with this dream? I know it is worth the time and energy and if I failed I know I failed trying. :'---(

Blog

Had I known that maintaining a blog was such a difficult job, I would not have created one. This is supposed to be fun. I don't see any fun in this. issues you want to write are better not written. You don't want tot rock the boat and privacy should be maintained at all times. Life is too misertable and too short to write about small issues that had happened and I woun't make small issues as big issues. better keep it samll and not talk about it.

The Flu

Just heard from the radio while I was driving that people are advised to avoid crowded places. Those taking public transport, please wear mask. So far in Malaysia there is no fatality and there are many cured from the flu, but never underestimate the situation. It is better to be safe than sorry. Look after yourself to protect those around You.

Secret Recipe

What is your favourite secret recipe cake? For me moist chocolate cake is the best. The rich taste of chocolate, melting in the mouth HMMMMM. You must be wondering why am I talking about cakes. i have a birthday function to attend to tonight and my only wish is to yhave a nice piece of moist chocolate cake. Since secret reipe has a range of healthy cakes, I believe an additional Rm could give a sugar free moist chocolate cake. Yum Yum Yum.

stupid

I just broke my side mirror (R-H). I am damn careless. The irony is that I did not even start the journey, I just hit the side mirror on the gate and it just fell apart. it was not even a miscalculation, but never thought it was a problem. I have done the move almost everyday but how many years this happened. it is going to cost me a fortune. Lesson of the day- Nothing just ******* stupid

It is time for a new post and what should be the topic. I have achieved quite a bit today, met a CEO of a well established institution over lunch, need to rub shoulders to get few things done. I have to make a written confession here. I am officially starting my calory count. I have to give 3 months to achieve what i want to achieve. Target weight 55 Kg. 3 months from today I shall report. Tricks

Is u r tired of ironing, try this. Take the laudry out from the machine a little bit earlier and hang the clothes. You will realize u have less crease to iron.

A wise man approached me and said, 'blog sleeping'. I was tongue tied had nothing to say as i have completely forgotten that i have commited to a blog spot and would make somebody's life miserable by writing something so they have to take time to read it. What can I say about today. It started well and I hope it will end better as well. My routine as usual is to attend to the kids before I could get ready to go to work. It was quite successful as every step I have to take is basically a repetition of the previous day. After reaching the office, I will be looking for a buddy to have breakfast with. My usual destination is Raja Laut curry house eventhough it was closed quite recently for (U know why). I did get a surprise. A very good colleague of mine gave a present for my new born daughter. How thoughtful

fingers vs spoon and folk

Are u more comfortable in using ur fingers over spoon and folk. As for me, i feel more comfortable using spoon and folk but am always reluctant to use the utensils provided in the restaurants. Should I resort to using fingers. But it also requires washing before and after. I little bit of a hassel but end of the day it is ur own hands. Nobody would have licked it and u don't question whether it is washed properly. anyways just a point to ponder but I will STILL be using spoon and folk and if u see me hesitant, I am thinking of the other option.

Parents vs Homework

The word 'homework' is an uncountable noun but it carries the most countable workload for my son. How do u feel when ur 5 year old comes home with 6 pages of homework. For instance he might have 4 pages of writing (if u compare with those days we had half the page of writing during school hours where the other half of the page has a picture on it) and 2 pages of sums to subtract. I fail to understand the point of this continuous drilling. Does a student get any intelligent by this gruesome drilling? I believe it does not necessarily make anyone any smarter but could make someone hardworking. It was all about fun, enjoyment and learning through hands on activity in those days when I was in Kindergarten. Can't children be children anymore? Why society's expectation has to be so harsh? Sometimes I tell my son that u don't have to do everything, just one page of each would do good. My efforts to persuade him has availed to nothing. I could see fear in his eyes when he couldn't finish every single page. He could wake miidle of the night and talk about homework and early morning when I am about to rush out to work he could come and talk about finishing the homework. Competition between schools and to be on top of the list that produces the best students have a cost. A cost children has to bear. Is this fair on children.

Angel and Demons – It was nothing compared to what I had expected. I thought it was a scary movie and I had to close my eyes 50% of the time to avoid getting scared at home when alone. Of course I like scary movies because I could scream in the cinema guilt free and not to mention the part where you get to hold hands….. The word demon gives u a certain expectation but nothing close to a demon was in the movie. It is no surprise that the demons in the movie are the man himself which is happening all over the world. Man is solely responsible for all the sufferings, deceptions, cruelity….etc

irresponsible

One may always wonder what kind of responsibility should the person be taking especially when the responsibility comes direct from his/her action. Some are ignorant in accepting such responsibilities and the person who is left to do everyhting gets disheartened, annoyed and frustrated. It is unfair when responsibilities and commitments are not equally divided. Is life all about material things? Is life without any luxury no life?
With all this frustration, one should admire the determination, dedication the other puts in to give a better future to the people he/she loves.

What is your beauty secret? Mine would be sleeping well which I hardly do right now for two main reasons. One is to look after ma cute little sweetie pie which is the most natural thing to do and the other reason is heat. Can u imagine my bedroom air-con is broken and I just can't stand the heat right now. It doesn't help either in the work place which is no secret. Global warming is really affecting my sleep. Can we do something to be more environmentally friendly? Do your bit pleazzzzzz.

Thunder cats

Have u ever watched the cartoon, thunder cats? I grew up watching the cartoon but there was this character i was so scared of. The villain of the cartoon, Mamra, always gave me chills. He is a mummy, face skeletal, but the body is quite muscular. I don't know how the body was preserved so well while the facial muscles disintergrated. It is a good watch. Now as an adult when I reflect back i can't believe I was so scared of mamra as the guy haunted me even in my dreams. Anyways, cartoon characters that scares are rare to find. Mamra was my nightmare

What is the worst driving mistake u have ever done?
Mine would be trying to beat the traffic light and at the end decide to make a sudden break. If u ever see me drive keep a distant near traffic lights.

Submarine

I have been thinking what to write the whole morning. nothing in my mind, huh? At the back of my mind I could hear a sweet lullaby. This is what happens when u have a new born in the house. All i had was 3 hrs of sleep last night and i don't know what is in store for me tonight.

With a heavy heart, I wait in the office as miserable as sin*, longing to be at home with my kids. Seconds seem like hours ...etc. They are truly a blessing!
